Saturday afternoon, after beating Texas 49-31 in Stillwater, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy initially didn’t have much reaction to comments earlier in the week by stadium namesake and uber booster Boone Pickens, who was critical of Gundy’s record against Oklahoma and the Cowboy coach’s ability to manage “people relationships.”

But after the press conference, in a one-on-one interview with The Franchise’s John Hoover, Gundy did have something to say, sounding equal parts exasperated and resolved, and even including what sounded like a veiled invitation to replace him.
