Franchise Approved Tailgating Recipes from Paula

Much to the dismay of Bob Stoops, and OU fans everywhere, this weekend features another 11am kickoff. The early start times always force fans to get a little creative with their party foods. But leave it up the The Franchise’s own tailgating food expert Paula to come up with tasty and convenient-to-eat solutions! Here are this week’s tailgate recipes.

1 dozen Eggs
Sliced Cheese (whatever kind you prefer)
Ham (spiral sliced or deli sliced)
3 tablespoons Milk
Hawaiian Rolls or Slider Buns
1 stick of Butter
¼ cup of Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons Dried Onions

Scramble eggs and add milk when they are almost done. Slice rolls in half. Spray pan with non-stick spray and place the bottom half of the rolls in pan. Top with ham, egg and cheese and any other topping you want to add; cover each with the top half of the bun. Melt butter along with dried onions and Worcestershire; pour over tops of rolls. Place in oven at 350 degrees, bake until cheese has melted.

2 cups Flour
2 tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 ¾ cup Buttermilk
2 Eggs
3 tablespoons melted Butter
Filling (whatever filling you prefer: strawberry, blueberry, sausage, chocolate chips, etc.)muffins
Maple Syrup
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix together all dry ingredients. Mix wet ingredients (buttermilk, eggs and melted butter) in a separate bowl. Then, combine the mixed dry and wet ingredients (will be slightly lumpy; don’t over mix or they will be dry). Let rest for a couple of minutes while you spray a mini muffin tin with non stick spray. Fill tins ¾ the way full. Top with filling of your choice. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until cooked through. Serve with maple syrup.
