DeMarcus Lawrence reports to Cowboys camp despite COVID-19 concerns

Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is ready to go this season.

After days of speculation on whether the two-time Pro Bowler would opt out of this season or not, he was in fact one of the Cowboys veterans to report to camp today. The uncertainty over Lawrence’s playing status stemmed from his hesitation about playing during the COVID-19 pandemic with a pregnant wife at home.

Lawrence, 28, is one of the most crucial players on the Cowboys defensive line thanks to his great athleticism and pass rushing abilities. He registered 30 total tackles and five sacks in 2019 and will continue to boost the Cowboys defense this season.

Cowboys veterans reported to camp Tuesday to get tested for coronavirus and attend virtual meetings.
