Day One at the Big House

The first day of March means one thing in Oklahoma and that is State tournament play begins. The Big House played host for the Class A girls State tournament games on Thursday.

The day began with No.3 Vici winning 52-30 over No. 6 New Lima. No.2 Frontier continued their dominance in the next game with a 61-40 win over Oklahoma Christian Academy. No.4 Okarche was the first game of the night cap in the Big House, where they won 42-19 over No.11 Cyril. Okarche gave up the fewest amount of points in the first round. The final game of the night featured No.1 Seiling and Dewar, where Seiling scored the most points in the first round with a 71-29 win.

Class A girls basketball continued at the Big House on Friday. The first game of the semi-finals was between No.2 Frontier and No.3 Vici. Where Frontier snapped Vici’s six-game winning streak with a 51-34 win and advanced to the State championship game. The second semi-final match-up is between no.1 Seiling and No.4 Okarche at 1:30 p.m.. Seiling comes into the game on a 22-game winning streak and have not lost a game to a class A school this season.
