Buddy Hield Named Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year

Oklahoma senior Buddy Hield was picked to repeat as Big 12 Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4 guard 17.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Sooners during the 2014-15 season.

Baylor’s Rico Gathers, Kansas’ Perry Ellis and Iowa State’s Georges Niang, all first-team selections from a season ago, were also named to Preseason All-Big 12 Team. Texas junior point guard Isaiah Taylor rounded out the preseason starting five.
