Buddy buckets a last second win for the Sooners

Just hours after the Oklahoma Sooners dropped to No. 3 in the country; Buddy and the boys claimed the win in a matter of seconds over the No. 24 Texas Longhorns at the Lloyd Noble Center. This win ensured OU to be a strong contender for the Big 12 Title.

 

However, this was no walk in the park for the Sooners. The Longhorns were able to maintain the lead for 34:57 and headed to the locker room at halftime up by nine, 31-22.  They did a great job containing Buddy Hield in the first half forcing him to turn the ball over four times and allowing him just one of six shots.

 

Texas guard Isaiah Taylor scored a team-high 19 points and Kendal Yancy added a season-high 13 points and three steals. Isaiah Cousins scored 17 for the Sooners and Ryan Spangler contributed nine points and 10 rebounds.

 

Buddy Hield had a game-high of 27 points and it all came down to the end as he controlled the scoreboard, scoring the Sooner’s final 12 points. Including a 3-pointer he sunk with 1.3 seconds remaining ceasing a 63-60 win over the Longhorns.
