BREAKING: Kristian Doolittle suspended for first half of 2017-2018 season

Oklahoma confirmed today that sophomore forward Kristian Doolittle will not be available for the first half of the season due to an academic issue stemming from his freshman year.

The sophomore started in 25 of 31 games a year ago, averaging 9.2 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game. Doolittle was set to be a major impact player on this 2017-2018 team, but will have to wait until the second semester of classes at the University of Oklahoma in order to see the court.

Oklahoma wraps up non-conference play on December 22nd before starting Big 12 play. The Big 12 basketball schedule has not yet been released.

Matthew Freeman and Brady Manek were the replacements for Doolittle this summer during practices.
