Boone Pickens Stadium Reps 1945 National Championship

Oklahoma State made it official Wednesday when it placed the “1945 National Championship” sign on the wall behind the east end zone of Boone Pickens Stadium.

This move comes 10 months after the American Football Coaches Association named OSU the national champs in 1945 when Oklahoma A&M went undefeated and won the Sugar Bowl over St. Mary’s.

The sign was first posted on OSU’s official athletic twitter page.

This is the only national championship for the Cowboys.
