The Big 12 Conference released its men’s basketball schedules on Wednesday, and Oklahoma doesn’t have an easy start.

With round-robin play in the Big 12, each team will play each other twice: once at home and once on the road.

The Sooners begin conference play on the road against Kansas on Jan. 2. They then return home to face Bedlam rival Oklahoma State on Jan. 5. The second round of Bedlam is in Stillwater for an 8 p.m. tip on Jan. 22. The Cowboys have won four of the past five Bedlam bouts, including the victory in the 2018 Big 12 Tournament.

After the home conference opener against OSU, the Sooners travel to Lubbock, Texas, to face the Red Raiders. The first matchup against Texas is in Austin on Jan. 19 with the Longhorns coming to Norman on Feb. 23. Kansas comes to Lloyd Noble Center on March 5, which comes after a home matchup against West Virginia on March 2.

OU closes its conference slate at Kansas State on March 9. At least 16 of OU’s 18 conference games will be televised on ESPN, according to the release.

The Cowboys begin conference play at home against Iowa State on Jan. 2 before the tilt with the Sooners. OSU makes its return to Allen Fieldhouse on Feb. 9, and the Jayhawks head to Stillwater on March 2.

OSU closes its conference schedule at home against West Virginia on March 9.
