Big 12 Baseball Tournament: Oklahoma State Postgame Presser

Reigning Big 12 Tournament Champions and No. 2 seed Oklahoma State drops the first game of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Tournament Wednesday night falling to the No. 7 seed West Virginia 8-5.

The Cowboys found themselves in trouble early on as the Mountaineers took a 6-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning, but OSU was able to put up a fight closing in on WVU at 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh.

With the bases full of Cowboys in the bottom of the ninth and two outs, third baseman Michael Neustifter stepped up to the plate hoping to bring life to Oklahoma State fans and bring his teammates to the home plate.

West Virginia defense refused to give up their lead, and the Cowboys fell 8-5 in the tournament opener. OSU will face elimination tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. where the Cowboys will face the winner of TCU vs. Texas Tech.

Head coach of the Cowboys Josh Holliday was joined by senior Cowboy Jon Littell in a postgame presser following their loss to the Mountaineers. Watch here to see what Coach Holliday and Jon Littell had to say about a disappointing start and plans to come back stronger tomorrow:
